'The Strain' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Eph Is 'The Assassin?'
Without really knowing it, the second season of FX's hit action drama series "The Strain" is now already four episodes away from its finale. However, the events just keep getting more intense and the plot development getting deeper. In fact, spoiler reports for the upcoming episode suggest that Eph might be taking one of the most drastic steps to end the plague – assassinate Eldritch Palmer. Will he be able to pull off the deed?
Citing the synopsis posted over at TV Guide, Episode 10 titled "The Assassin," it says that Eph and Dutch will be working together to "thwart the Master's greatest ally" whom fans may already know to be the CEO of Stoneheart Group, Palmer.
The promo video seen towards the end of last episode's airing teases the former CDC personnel positioning himself on a roof with his Mauser rifle. Scenes then changed to show the billionaire under the crosshair as he goes outside of a building. Shots were heard.

Back in earlier episodes, it was revealed that Eph really wanted to take down the enemy as revenge for the people he'd lost when he went over to Washington DC. The trip's goal was to militarize the anti-Strigoi formula he and Nora created.
However, Palmer's grasp reached even at the capital. Two of Eph's colleagues who swore to help him in his cause ended up getting killed by Palmer's assassin. Now it's time for Eph to return the favour. The question now is, will he be able to pull the trigger?
Meanwhile, the fearless councilwoman, Justine, is teased to run into some trouble with the Mayor. Perhaps this will be connected to the events of the last episode when the New York official fled Red Hook and left Justine on her own to hold off the invasion of the vampires.
Elsewhere, Setrakian is now getting closer than ever to the whereabouts of the Occido Lumen. The teaser video did show him holding the book. But it appears that it might not be an easy take for the elderly.
"The Strain" Season 2 airs Sundays, at 10 p.m. on FX.
