'The Strain' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Finale Synopsis Hints Eph, Nora, Zach in Danger; Fight for the Lumen Continues
The current second season of FX's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Strain" is now closing in on its conclusion and the events are already getting more intense. For one, Setrakian's mission to get hold of the Occido Lumen will finally come to an end when he goes head to head with the Master's top lieutenant. Eph, on the other hand, will try to make his way out New York with Nora and Zach.
The synopsis for the finale segment titled "Night Train" said (via International Business Times) that the elderly vampire hunter and his trusted accomplice, Fet, will endanger their lives in their fight to gain the possession of the old book. However, they will be getting some help from an unexpected person.
Viewers may already know that Mr. Quinlan is also intending to get hold of the Lumen and that he is willing to offer his hand to Setrakian to see to it that the bidding ends in their favour. But since the synopsis hinted of an "unexpected" someone, could this be Eldritch Palmer?

For those who missed it (spoiler alert), Eichorst confronted Palmer, telling the latter that he and his girlfriend largely depends on the Master's "white" for their survival. Refusing to follow the Master's plan would do them no good. In the end, Palmer concedes that Eichorst will carry on with the bidding. Could Palmer be harbouring some bitterness towards the Strigoi?
This surprising person could also be the one who holds the book himself, Alonso. After all the pleading of Setrakian, the gang leader might finally realize that giving the book to Setrakian will be for the greater good.
Meanwhile, Eph, Nora, and Zach, have managed to get the travel permits to leave the city. The plan is two-prong: one would be to send the child to his grandparents, the other would be to finally concoct the bioweapon against the vampires.
The spoilers said that their exit from the city won't be easy as they will encounter a massive attack from the Strigois, speculated to be led by none other than Eph's ex-wife, Kelly.
