'The Strain' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Kelly Gets Closer to Zach

The turned-mother's hunt for her son gets closer than ever as the second season of the hit horror drama TV series "The Strain" continues this week with an episode titled "Identity."

The previous episode saw Kelly's (Natalie Brown) spider-like strigoi minions ravaging the city. They are further revealed to be a different class of vampires with much faster movements, acute senses and deadlier attacks. Although the Feelers are under the power of the Master, these creatures are in direct command by Eph's (Corey Stoll) estranged and now an undead ex-wife. Their goal is to find her son, Zach (Max Charles), and probably turn him into vampire.

Despite the father's efforts to protect his son, Eph's most feared scenarios could finally occur this week as what the official synopsis suggested.

According to the summary posted right over at The Futon Critic, Kelly will now be coming after Nora (Mia Maestro) and her son.

Meanwhile, Eph successfully arrived at Washington despite some setbacks on the train. If fans could remember, Eph saw his former CDC boss who threatens to report him to the police. After some bloody altercations, the much stronger Eph flung Everett off the moving train.

The episode synopsis went on to say that Eph will concoct a plan to finally manufacture the bioweapon he discovered with Nora.

Furthermore, it is said that Gus (Miguel Gomez) will realize that Angel (Joaquin Cosio) can be an unlikely ally. It should be interesting to see if the former wrestler will be able to use his signature neck snapping method in killing the strigois.

Although not mentioned in the summary, fans are hoping to see more of Fet (Kevin Durand) and Dutch, who are now in alliance with the NYPD, in cleaning the city from the vampires.

"The Strain" Season 2 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
