'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 News: Is Steroline Over?
The current season of "The Vampire Diaries" is expected to shock fans of Steroline.
With Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, and Caroline, played by Candice King, continue to struggle in their relationship, it is apparent that Julian's return to Mystic falls did not help the matter.
The previous episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 showed Caroline attempting to trust Stefan. However, her suspicions just increased when it was evident that his ex-girlfriend is still very present in his life.
However, Stefan paid no mind to Valerie as he was determined to kill Julian. His attempt to kill Julian himself did not succeed and actually almost had him and Damon killed.
Fortunately, his mother was able to save the both of them, which inspired him to have kids of his own.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that the season will have Caroline and Stefan, also known as Steroline, challenged by the presence of Valerie, played by Elizabeth Blackmore.
According to MTV, Elizabeth Blackmore recently shared some details about her character's task for the rest of the season. It was revealed that Valerie was brought into the picture in order to break the couple.
Blackmore explained that she was terrified to take on the role because she thought that fans would end up hating her. However, she was surprised with the outcome. She said, "It's actually been really interesting, a lot of people have been very understanding, very empathetic."
She added that while there are still some fans who want Valerie to stay away from Stefan, it was reported that she felt more welcomed that expected.
With that, fans can expect that Steroline will soon see its end. Another sign of this was the fact that the flash-forward episodes revealed who Caroline was going to be engaged to in the future.
The previous episode showed that Caroline and Alaric were going to be engaged in the next three years. In addition, Caroline was the one carrying the Gemini twins. This illustrates that the season will soon play out the idea of Steroline coming to an end.
