'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Episode 15 Spoilers: A Set-up Wedding Lures Out Danger
The long-running series "The Vampire Diaries" is close to its bittersweet end, and things begin to heat up. With episode 15 going to be the second to the last episode, a fearsome enemy of Mystic Falls is bound to make a return, and it is going to be dangerous for everyone.
The synopsis for episode 15 dubbed "We're Planning a June Wedding" is teasing an inevitable faceoff with a formidable foe. It reads, "A wedding is quickly planned in order for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to lure a dangerous enemy out into the open. This looming threat puts the fate of Mystic Falls in imminent danger and must be destroyed."
A promo teaser for the upcoming episode shows exactly this. Damon is put up as bait, thrown in a set-up wedding with Caroline (Candice King). Hopefully, this stunt will bring out the threat they are all talking about, although they need to be extremely careful as it is bound to be no cake walk.

The foe they are trying to shake out is no other than Katherine, a doppelganger that has once taken form of Elena (Nina Dobrev). Given that she has been a threat even to the Originals, it is shaping up to be one huge spectacle.
When she comes back, what's curious to see is if that's the character Nina is coming back for, or if she's also going to return as Elena. Either way, it will be double work for Dobrev, and this is one of the things fans are waiting for.
Will this also be the time that Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey) is coming back? It can be recalled that he told TVLine he's going to be returning for the season finale. "I've gone in and done a couple bits here and there. It's nice to be able to wrap this thing up the way they've done it, to know this is the end, and to do it justice," he said.
Fans will have to stay tuned and find out. "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 15 will be airing on March 3, 2017, 8 p.m. ET on CW.
