'The Vampire Diaries' Star Nina Dobrev's Departure and Future Plans
Nina Dobrev's absence from the series "The Vampire Diaries" has left fans wondering when they will see their beloved actress once again.
Fortunately, there have been speculations that the actress will be seen in the small screen once again. Speculations of her return to "The Vampire Diaries" came up when Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore in the series, spoke about her character during an interview with TV Insider.
He explained that her character still plays an important factor in the story line of the new season. He said, "Elena's still a very big part of the story. Her body's in danger in the first few episodes, and Damon is doing everything he can to make sure it stays safe if and when she wakes up." He also explained that even through Elena is gone, she is still very much talked about in the season.
Meanwhile, actress Nina Dobrev was able to share her sentiments on her departure from the show. She explained that closing that chapter in her career is bittersweet. Nevertheless, she still wants to support the series. She said, "I can't wait to see what the new season will look like. I'll be watching. I'm very excited for my friends."
With that, she also shared some details about her plans for her future projects. She said that she is also interested in working on movies in order to challenge herself as an actress. She also added that she wanted to tackle darker and grittier content, as well as have the opportunity to work with several directors she respects. She hopes that these will help her improve as an actor.
Meanwhile, news about Dobrev's love life also revealed that she has finally gone public with her now boyfriend, Austin Stowell. The couple realized that they actually were not following each other on their Twitter accounts. With that, Stowell tweeted, "That weird moment when you realize you don't follow your girlfriend on Twitter."
Dobrev then responded with the tweet, "That awkward moment when u realize ur not following him either&gotta do it realfast b4 he realizes."
