'The Voice' Season 11 Adds Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys as New Coaches
New season means new coaches for the American reality television singing competition "The Voice." According to a report by The Wrap two new superstar faces will be sitting down in the big red swivel chair to act as judges in the show and it's going to be Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.
The source stated that the two will replace previous season judges Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. The announcement of their new part in the show was announced on Friday night, just days ahead of Cyrus' debut on season 10, during which she will be meeting all four groups of contestants for mentoring. As for Keys, she had earlier joined the show as a mentor for William's team of singers during the seventh season so she is also not new to the whole thing.
The official Twitter page of the show wrote: "RT to welcome #AliciaAndMiley as our coaches for season 11! #TheVoice." Cyrus also made her own confirmation via her Twitter account wherein she wrote, "It's true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice."

The Hollywood Reporter Keys and Cyrus will be judging along pioneering coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who have been in the show since the first season. This will be the first time in the history of "The Voice" to have two ladies in the panel and network NBC isn't hiding the fact that they are excited for the two pop stars to join the show.
"The musical expertise and energy these two incredibly talented women will bring to the show is remarkable," said Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC Entertainment. "We're thrilled that they'll be joining Adam and Blake in what we know will be a magical 11th season," he added.
Season 11 of "The Voice" will start airing in September. Until then, fans will have to stay tuned for more updates.
