'The Walking Dead' Executive Producer Says Feb. 14 Episode Will Bring Terror and Tragedy

"The Walking Dead" will bring terror and heartbreak when it returns on Feb. 14, 2016, executive producer Scott Gimple revealed.

In February, "The Walking Dead" will come back for its midseason premiere and give its fans a good dose of chaos, terror, and heartbreak. In a message to "Talking Dead" host Chris Hardwick, Gimple said the upcoming Valentine episode is one of the biggest that they have done, according to E! Online.

"We will be wooing you with the weirdest of Valentine's Day gifts: Chaos, terror, heartbreak, heroics, tragedy, and terror. Yes, that's two terrors," E! quotes Gimple's message to Hardwick. "… Some people give candy, flowers, and/or hilariously-themed teddy bears. This Valentine's Day, we are giving you The Walking Dead mid-season premiere."

Gimple also said the whole crew delivered an astounding performance for episode 9 and that makes him excited for Feb. 14. There will be a lot at stake for Rick's group, especially when their plan goes south while they are among a horde of walkers. Glenn, on the other hand, will see everything from outside the border of Alexandria, the report details.

What makes episode 9 special is that a whole ton of walkers will make it past Alexandria's walls. In addition, Gimple revealed that a lot of heavy drama will be featured, USA Today reports.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will also join the cast as the new villain Negan, who will be seen at the beginning of the episode. Gimple describes him as a villain who is not a psychopath, but a very unique and determined person.

It may still be more than two months away, but fans will find the next episode worth waiting for, said Gimple.
Another executive producer, Robert Kirkman, also teased that many people will die when "The Walking Dead" returns.

"The Walking Dead" will return on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. on AMC and the midseason premiere is set to mar Valentine's Day 2016.
