'The Walking Dead' Season 4: Tyreese and Beth Get Bigger Roles
Season 4 of AMC's hit series 'The Walking Dead' returns in October, and with it comes many changes with the cast and characters.
Chad Coleman, who plays Tyreese in the series, will have a more prominent role next season, becoming one of the main characters and will have his name added to the opening credits. Fans will also get to see more of Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays his sister Sasha, and Emily Kinney, who has played Beth since season 2 of the show as they will also be bumped up to credited status.
Kinney's character was introduced in the second season as one of Hershel's daughters, and Coleman and Martin-Green made their debut in Season 3. Coleman's character Tyreese has a prominent role in the comic book the series is based on. Martin-Green's character was invented for the TV series. The actress also has a recurring role on "Once Upon a Time."

David Morrissey, better known as The Governor, will also return as a series regular for Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" as well. Even though Beth will inherit more screen time, her onscreen father Hershel, played by Scott Wilson, has not been confirmed to become a series regular in the fourth season.
Carol, a recurring character played by Melissa McBride, has been on the show since its inception still has not moved up to main character status. Wilson and McBride are also strong candidates for possible credit status in Season 4 as other mainstays were killed off in Season 3 including Lori, played by Sarah Wayne Callies, and Andrea played by Laurie Holden.
The series was renewed for a fourth season by AMC that will consist of 16 new episodes and will most likely be divided into two parts.
