Kirkman stated, "Morgan and Carol will continue their antagonistic relationship and their posturing against each other. Their conflict is a big part of the next half of the season. The confrontation that starts in the basement does continue throughout the season and will come to a head. We'll see the relationship change and evolve in cool ways."

However, their conflict will not be the only problem in the upcoming return of the series. An episode in the second half of the season will introduce a new character, who will bring more trouble to the story. It was revealed that Negan, a notorious character in the comic books, will be joining the characters.

The actor who will be portraying the role of Negan shared some details about his character. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Jeffrey Dean Morgan explained how he had already seen his character's weapon for the series. Negan is known for his baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he named Lucille.

He also stated, "We're going to try to keep Negan as close to the comics as we can. The plan is to push AMC as far as they will go because it is who Negan is. He uses some colorful language and it's our intention that this character is going to leap off of the pages in the comic book. Negan is a guy that you want to keep as true as possible, and that would be how I want to play him as well."

"The Walking Dead" season 6 is expected to return on AMC this Feb. 14, 2016.
