'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Episode 12 Spoilers: Rick and Michonne Go Scavenging for Guns in 'Say Yes'
After striking a deal with a junkyard community known as The Heapsters, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) set out to make good on their promise of supplies and ammunition in the next episode of "The Walking Dead."
Led by a woman named Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), The Heapsters have turned a wide expanse of junkyard into their safe haven, and seems to be a potentially strong ally for Rick. But before they even begin considering an alliance, Jadis tells Rick that he first needs to deliver guns and supplies as a show of faith. Will The Heapsters really be able to forego their ongoing mantra of "We take, we never bother" in the name of Rick's ambitious cause to put an end to the Saviors' oppressive rule?
Most importantly, will Rick and Michonne be able to find enough guns to satisfy their potential new allies?
In a sneak peek released by AMC, the scavenging duo comes across what looks like a military outpost and gets their first gun from a uniformed walker. While Michonne notes that something truly terrible may have happened in that place, all Rick cares about is getting to the armory as quickly as possible to check the kinds of weapons they can get there.
Will Rick and Michonne's mission be a success? Will they really be able to find something to trade for The Heapsters' cooperation?
There is another community that could potentially become Alexandria's allies in their impending war against the Saviors, but it all still depends on whether or not Tara (Alanna Masterson) will ever reveal the existence of the Oceanside.
While Rick has been rounding up allies, he remains unaware that one of his own seems to have pledged loyalty to his arch nemesis, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). In an interview with Variety, actor Josh McDermitt, who plays the textbook genius Eugene, explained that his deference to Negan in the previous episode of "The Walking Dead" was due to his character's need to feel safe and free from fear.
"There's a line before the 'I'm Negan' one that's just as important: Negan says, 'You don't have to be scared anymore.' That's like crack to him, that's all he wants," McDermitt shared.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 episode 12 airs on Sunday, March 5, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
