'The Walking Dead' Season 7 News: Scott Gimple Shares Details About Upcoming Season
After the shocking cliffhanger of "The Walking Dead" Season 6, fans are still wondering about who was killed by Negan.
The finale of "The Walking Dead" showed the newest villain of the series beating one of the major characters to death. Fans of the series have been anticipating the iconic scene, which showed Glenn's death in the comic books.
The series did not reveal who faced the wrath of Lucille, which is Negan's barb wired baseball bat. With that, fans were left to guess who suffered. According to the executive producer of the series, Scott Gimple, the person will be reveal during the first episodes of "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
However, Gimple's interview gave fans hints about who the victim could have been. He stated, "Let me put it this way: Whatever it is, it's really just all in service to being faithful to the comic book inasmuch as one can. That's always going to be relatively subjective as to what that means."
With that, there are rumors that it was Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, who was killed off. However, Gimple also explained that while they try to remain faithful, there are some aspects that they do change.
He said, "Sometimes we have things from the book that people who read the comics maybe see coming a mile away, and we try to adjust that so that we can give them the same feeling they had when reading the book, which might have been shock or surprise or fear, any of those things. It might be wildly different, but it's all to get the same sort of feelings that you got when you read them. So will it be different? Absolutely. Will it be the same thing? Absolutely."
With that, fans will have to wait until the return of "The Walking Dead" in order to find out who Negan had beaten.
