UPDATE: 'The Walking Dead' Season 7 News, Spoilers: Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment Inadvertently Spills Season 7 Details

UPDATE: The publication has recently received an email from a source who seeks to clarify the issue on the plot rumor. According to the respondent, the since deleted Instagram post was posted not by someone who has the knowledge of what's coming next for "The Walking Dead" Season 7. It was not their intention to mislead the fans into believing that comic book characters Ezekiel and Shiva will indeed be coming to the show. Whether they appear or not, the official confirmation or announcement will come only from AMC.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fans of AMC's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The Walking Dead" has been keeping tabs on anything that may relate to that Season 6 finale cliffhanger about Negan and the unlucky character that gets to taste Lucille. It is yet to be known who is that person on the other end and this big mystery pumps everyone to anticipate for the upcoming Season 7 of the show.

Meanwhile though, the worldwide TWD fandom was shaken over a certain social media update from the show. People immediately connect this bit of information as something of relevance to what might actually occur in Season 7.

On April 11, which is National Pet Day, the Instagram account of Skybound Entertainment's "The Walking Dead" was flooded with likes and comments when they posted this one particular pic. The image, which can be seen below, seems to have come from the TWD comic book by Robert Kirkman. It features the characters Ezekiel and Shiva.

Given the appropriateness of the occasion, there's nothing really special about the post. However, what captures the attention of the many was the caption which claims that it won't be long before viewers will get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva on screen.

The original caption, which has since been edited, read:

"Happy #nationalpetday! Don't worry, #WalkingDead show fans. You'll get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva next season," according to ComicBook.com.

It was then changed to the non-suggestive caption that can be read in the Insta post embedded.

Regardless of them taking their statement back, the internet is now already riddled with speculations saying that the mysterious man with whom Rick and Morgan saw at a barn when they were on their way to find Carol, is clearly indicative that the story will now talk about the community known as the Kingdom.

The man in question wore protective armor, a fact that most comic book readers know to be a distinguishing factor about these group of survivors.

For the uninitiated, the Kingdom is run by its leader, Ezekiel, who is a former zookeeper and has a pet tiger named Shiva.
