'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Spoilers, Plot News: Rick and Company Meet Their 'New Best Friends' in Episode 10

"The Walking Dead" season 7 returned yesterday with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company operating with their newfound courage to finally take down the Saviors.

By the end of the hour, Rick found a reason to smile despite their bleak situation as the opportunity to finally end Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutal reign presented itself by the end of the hour in the form of a new group, whose manpower and weaponry should allow them to at least challenge that of the Saviors.

Although Negan has shaken Rick to the core with the constant fear that one of the people he loves dear will be "Lucilled," he still has the confidence in his group's capabilities and skills, how what they can do will allow them to live to see another day, even if they are outnumbered or outgunned, as seen in the "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 promo.

Their efforts to collect what they need to tackle the Saviors continue in episode 10, "New Best Friends." The title suggests that Rick's group is about to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Rick easily finds something in common with this clan. The new group in question, which had them at gunpoint in the previous installment, appear to be afflicted by the Saviors too.

"The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 will see Rick present a deal that both groups should benefit from, a deal that requires no bloodshed from either unit.

As Rick negotiates with this "mysterious collective," as the synopsis describes them, the folks from the Kingdom appear to be preparing for the same fight, but not before a good old-fashioned bullying from the Saviors.

From the looks of it, "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10 is setting the stage for this massive assembly.

"The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 10, "New Best Friends," airs Sunday, Feb. 19, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
