'The Walking Dead' Season 7: The Group Finally Makes a Move

Season 7 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" is coming to a close in its last two episodes, with the April 2 episode coming to an exciting season finale as the group finally acts on their plan to take on the Saviors after a long time spent preparing for the fateful day. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 16 airs on April 2, Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.

The 16th and last episode of season 7 of "The Walking Dead" will finally close a chapter in the struggle of the survivors this coming April 2. The season finale, dubbed "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life," will mark the end of the current story arc in an action-filled episode, if the summary posted by TV Guide is anything to go by.

As if the risks are not high enough for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the group, the stakes keep mounting higher and higher, according to the vague summary supplied by AMC. The stakes are ever increasing as different stories clash, and as the writers of the show finally tie their meandering story plots together, hopefully in a way that makes the season finale an exciting highlight in contrast to the unpleaseant season 6 finale, as the feature by BGR laments.

Rick Grimes and the group finally move to enact a plan that the show writers describe as intricate. Will this intricate plan of the group finally result in a thrilling and satisfying season ending? Viewers have a chance to find out on April 2.

Andrew Lincoln has already gone ahead and talked to Entertainment Weekly to hype up the last episode of the current season of "The Walking Dead." In the interview, Lincoln positively showers the last episode with praise. "There's a palpable sense of energy and excitement in that final episode," said Lincoln. "I think that the crew felt it, this sort of brilliancy. And it was weird because it was the end of a long season and yet everybody was sort of champing at the bit to keep going. I've never felt that before in the show," Lincoln went on to say.
