A new teaser trailer for the episode also suggests that Rick and Daryl (Norman Reedus) will team up once again in a battle against a horde of walkers. In the trailer, King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) is shown telling his followers, "We have come this far. Our first victory will allow our second, our second will deliver our third." Towards the end of the clip, Negan is shown telling the Saviors, "We need to win it all."

The "familiar face" mentioned in the trailer is reportedly Morales (Noah Lomax), who viewers have not seen in a long time since season 1. According to reports, the character will resurface in the final episodes of the upcoming episode, so fans will not know what he's been up to until episode 3.

Meanwhile, the premiere episode of the new season which aired last Oct. 22 saw Daryl, Carol (Melissa McBride), Morgan (Lennie James), and Tara (Alana Masterson) use explosives to drive off a group of walkers heading to the Sanctuary. In his bid to distract Negan, Rick led his group to the gates. The final moments of the episode saw Father Gabriel (Gabriel Stokes) scramble for his life after trying to save Gregory (Xander Berkeley).

"The Walking Dead" season 8, episode 2 airs today, Oct. 29, at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
