The Walking Dead Season 8 Spoilers: Did Chandler Riggs Confirmed The End of TWD?

After his character Carl Grimes appeared to have died in the midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" season 8, actor Chandler Riggs hinted that "The Walking Dead" will be over soon.

According to reports, Riggs dropped a major clue about the show's future in a past interview with The Spoiling Dead back in November that was spotted by Cinema Blend when he asked the website to avoid sharing his upcoming death in season 8's midseason finale.

"Out of respect for me, for Carl, and for one of the last few seasons of the show, I'm asking you not to spoil the ending of 808 once your sources inform you of what happens," the actor stated.

Based on Riggs' statement, season 8 could be considered as one of the last instalments of the fan-favourite post-apocalyptic drama. This means that the end of the show is already right around the corner.

Fans of the series are expecting to have their hearts broken when the second half of "The Walking Dead" season 8 returns on AMC, since Riggs' character is expected to meet his end after he got bitten by a walker. While the network has yet to announce Carl's fate, the 18-year-old actor seemed to have confirmed that he will no longer appear in the series when he debuted his new, shorter hairstyle on Twitter.

Meanwhile, other reports claimed that Lennie James' character Morgan will also meet his end in before the conclusion of "The Walking Dead" season 8.

It was first announced that Morgan will be crossing over to the spin-off series "Fear the Walking Dead" at the end of the original show's current season. While there are no reports claiming that Morgan will die in "The Walking Dead," Fansided reported that the actor confirmed that he already said his goodbyes to the cast and crew of the show.

"The hardest part of it from the beginning until now has been leaving The Walking Dead. Leaving that cast and leaving that crew. And I've said my goodbyes to the cast and stuff, and I've said my goodbyes to the crew," James stated.

AMC has yet to reveal Morgan's fate, but the network will air the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 9 p.m. EDT.
