'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Spoilers: Polyanna MacIntosh Talks How Warfare Puts Jadis at a Unique Advantage
Jadis will be nothing short of sly in "The Walking Dead" season 8.
This is what actress Polyanna MacIntosh, who will be back as the cunning leader of The Scavengers in the next season of the zombie drama, teased in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
According to her, Jadis will make sure to cash in on the Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) failure last season to get what she wants. The star said that her character "can make what she likes of that situation moving forward."
However, MacIntosh said that Jadis knows the dangers of crossing the Saviors, which suggests that she will have to tread lightly in "The Walking Dead" season 8 or at least choose the right alliance if she wants her best interests taken care of.
You wouldn't really want to mess with the Saviors, would you? They're pretty vicious and they don't have the same moral structure as Rick's group do. So I can't say what's going to happen, but I think it's really fun for the audience to kind of plot in their own heads: What would they do if they were in her position? I know that she doesn't have a strong allegiance to the Saviors group so she's really free to do what the hell she wants.
MacIntosh also described "The Walking Dead" season 8 as "action-packed." She teased that the characters will "go through new situations" and "more challenges" that viewers will witness unfold in epic ways this year.
It's going to be really satisfying because season 7 I thought was wonderfully written, but it was much slower paced than 8 is and there was a lot of teasing towards the action, and now the dogs are off the chain. It's going wild.
One of the gripes fans had about the previous season is that it dragged the story out, but with the all-out war the centerpiece of the new season, they expect things to go down fast.
"The Walking Dead" season 8 premieres Sunday, Oct. 23, on AMC.
