'The Walking Dead' Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Which Character Is The Next To Die?
The latest episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" finally answered the many questions regarding fan favorite Glenn Rhee's fate. However, more questions arise as the midseason finale is just around the corner.
Who will die next?
With the tower collapsing and taking down the wall beneath it, the once safe haven that is Alexandria is up for another attack, this time by a horde of zombies. There is a high probability that most of the naïve residents of the community will become zombie chow, but who among the main characters will finally kick the bucket?
Will it be Carl? Or Rick?
The zombies are not the only things Rick and the group need to worry about. There is Ron and his apparent desire to get rid of Carl. Will Ron's hatred for Rick and Carl mean the end of one of the main characters in the show?
Will it be Morgan?
Additionally, there's a member of the Wolves who Morgan is holding captive right inside the community. He has promised Morgan that he will kill him and everyone else. Will he?
[Comic book spoilers ahead]
Will it be Jessie? Or Ron?
In "The Walking Dead" comic book series, Ron is bitten while trying to escape the zombies. Panicking, Jessie grabs Carl and tries to get him to help Ron. Jessie gets bit as well but refuses to let go of Carl. Having no choice, Rick then cuts off Jessie's hand to free his son. Douglas (Deanna in the show) is also swarmed by walkers and fires his gun like a wild man, accidentally hitting Carl in the eye.
It must be noted though that "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott Gimple tends to do a remixed version of the story in the comic book series. For instance, comic-book Glenn has long been dead, courtesy of Negan and his baseball bat. Meanwhile, TV-series Glenn is still alive and seems to have an uncanny ability to escape death. Comic-book Abraham dies from an arrow through the back of his head, courtesy of Dwight, one of the Saviors. TV-series Abraham is still up and about.
Meanwhile, Negan, a character from the comic books who is yet to show up in the TV series, is rumored to be making his much-anticipated first appearance in the season six finale. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Negan will be played by "Good Wife" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
