'The Winds of Winter' News: Al Predicts What's Next on George R.R. Martin's Novel Series
The next installment in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series, "The Winds of Winter," has long been delayed and some fans are already using artificial intelligence to predict where the narrative is headed in the upcoming book. Although the author seems to be taking his time to finish the novel, a number of fans are already impatient.
The "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is the basis for the hit HBO show "Game of Thrones." The series was supposed to be composed of seven books, but only five books have been published so far due to the long-overdue release of "The Winds of Winter."
While Martin has been quiet all this time on the progress of the sixth book, new reports claim that a fan named Zack Thoutt has recently used a recurrent neural network to guess what would be in store for fans in the novel series.
It can be recalled that due to the delay in the release of "The Winds of Winter," the producers of "Game of Thrones" had to come up with their own version of the story just so they could continue on with the sixth season of the TV adaptation. Although most fans were not happy about the move, recent predictions made by the Al revealed that Martin's original version of the story was somewhat similar to the course of events shown by the producers of "Game of Thrones" season 6.
The Al's prediction that Jon Snow would ride a dragon is logical, considering the shocking reveal in the season 7 finale. Some of the cliffhangers predicted by the Al also reportedly proved to be accurate.
Meanwhile, "Winds of Winter" villain Cersei Lannister recently said she was pregnant on "Game of Thrones," and this drew mixed reactions from fans. While some believe that a pregnancy storyline was possible, some were convinced that what the character was feeling was the start of menopause.
