'The X-Files' revival will screen at New York Comic Con
Good news has come for those who have been waiting for the return of "The X-Files." According to IGN, the first screening of the show will be at the New York Comic Con on Sat., Oct. 10 at the Javis Center in Manhattan. "The X-Files" is one of the shows that Twentieth Century Fox will unveil during the pop culture event on the East Coast.
Through this early screening premiere, fans will be able to see the show three months before it officially airs on FOX. Reports say that the "X-Files" star David Duchovny and creator Chris Carter will be gracing the event to take some questions regarding the revival and it will be presided by "Silicon Valley's" Kumail Nanjiani, who is known to be a huge fan of the series. Variety noted that Nanjiani will actually play a guest role in the six-episode season.
But even before it premieres at the NYCC, the series will first be screened internationally at the MIPCOM conference in Cannes on Oct. 6. Carter will unveil the episode to the public at the Grand Auditorium in Palais de Festivals. Parent Herald reported that MIPCOM is honored to be the first one to debut the revival of the show.

"We are delighted that Fox has chosen MIPCOM for the world premiere of the return of The X-Files, which is one of several high-profile series being showcased exclusively at MIPCOM 2015," said Laurine Garaude, one of the MIPCOM organizers
According to Tech Times, the first episode will be titled "My Struggle" and it will show Mulder and Scully dealing with an unusual case. They will investigate a case of alien abduction, which is said to be nothing different from the abduction Scully experienced herself. Meanwhile, Mulder will be going through some dark times on the show. He will become "disillusioned" when finds out that his alien conspiracy beliefs may not be real.
More of "The X Files" will then follow as soon as it starts airing on television on Jan. 24 on Fox.
