'The Young and the Restless' September 5-9 Spoilers: Genoa City Says Final Goodbye to Adam; Is He Really Gone for Good?
Victor blames himself for whatever happened to Adam since he framed him after all.
Spoilers for the week of September 5 of "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) say that the episodes will take on a somber tone as everybody in Genoa City comes to terms with Adam's (Justin Hartley) death in the cabin explosion. But, Billy (Jason Thompson), and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will bring on the drama as well in their love story.
Life goes on
Life goes on for the Newmans as they try to pick up the pieces as loyal fans of "The Young and the Restless" must deal with the finality of Justin Hartley's character's death from the soap. Spoilers say that Victor (Eric Braeden) is particularly hard hit by the loss. Everything that happened to Adam was his fault and he knows it. If he hadn't framed him for Constance's (Kelly Sullivan) death, none of the succeeding events would have happened.

His greatest mistake, however, was getting someone as crazy as Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) as his partner. She is just too unstable to be trusted.
Victor must be telling himself that he never intended for Adam to go to prison and that he planned to reveal the exonerating evidence just as he had backed Adam into a corner. And now, Victor is paying a price for his mistake.
The "Young and the Restless" promo for the coming week shows Victor pulling Victoria (Amelia Heinle) into an embrace. He gets a little weepy and tells her that he sometimes wonders about the decisions he has made in his life.
Adam's touching memorial
The memorial for Adam will happen this week and fans of Y&R must brace themselves for some extremely emotional scenes as his family says goodbye. Nick (Joshua Morrow) will likely to get choked up about losing his brother but will be the one to hold the family together. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will be standing by him as Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) vows revenge.
Chelsea will be arrested at the penthouse. Nick, Kevin (Greg Rikaart), and Chloe try to figure who is responsible for the explosion as Nick is sure that it is not Victor. Sadly, the guys didn't have an idea that it was Chloe. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) goes to the police station to represent Chelsea and she fills him in on everything that happened.
Dylan (Steve Burton) and Paul (Doug Davidson) will reveal that the DNA found in the cabin matches Adam's. It looked like he died in the explosion. Chelsea melts as Nick holds her. Y&R spoilers say that Victor will confront Chloe and accuse her of being the one responsible for Adam's death.

Elsewhere, Neil (Kristoff St. John) will be at Lucinda's death bed. He later finds a note she left in her bible. While he reads it in a bar, he gets surrounded by Lily (Christel Khalil), Hilary(Mishael Morgan), Cane (Daniel Goddard), and Devon (Bryton James) to lend their support.
Phyllis will be reunited with Jack (Peter Bergman) after being blackmailed by Jill (Jess Walton) into doing so. But, Billy learns of the blackmail and will try to get Phyllis back. He will make a deal with Cain. Meanwhile, Jill will try to run Travis (Michael Roark) away from his relationship with Victoria.
Bill might push things too far with Jill. Phyllis will end up in a trap set by Jill in the process while Victoria seems to assert her relationship with Travis.
Also this week, Summer (Hunter Haley King) finds closure in her relationship with Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) as she visits him in jail. Sharon (Sharon Case) will reflect on her past that may be due to Adam's passing.
Is Adam really gone forever? It is never sure with "The Young and the Restless". The soap can always do a recast if they want more of one of its most popular couple, Adam and Chelsea. That is if she does not end up with Nick.
