'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers for January 8, 2015: Abby's Sufferings Continue with Max in Town

The struggles continue for Abby (Melissa Ordway) as spoilers for "The Young and the Restless" reveal that Max (Jared Breeze) will not forget that his mother was killed after taking a phone call from Abby while driving.

The car accident proved to be a huge blow to Max, who has been living with his mother and eventually wouldn't take it easy on Abby, who will now be his stepmom. While Abby has been dreaming of the perfect marriage with Stitch (Sean Carrigan), Max's presence seems to be a problem.

On Thursday's episode, Stitch tried to show his love and care for Max, and Abby, on the other hand, still cannot believe that she is now burdened with a growing child, which isn't her own. Paul (Doug Davidson) offers some advice for the derailed stepmom, telling her that it's normal for kids to have a hard time adjusting with the situation.

On Friday, it seems that Abby's issues will keep adding up. Previously, Max made it clear that he wants to spend time with his dad "alone," meaning no Abby in the picture. It is unclear if fans will see a scene where Abby will be leaving the house to give the father-and-son duo some time for themselves or if the two will leave Abby behind to maybe get some fresh air for a few days.

For the most part, Abby has been trying to understand the situation and even tried explaining to Max that she didn't want his mother to die in the car accident. Obviously, Max didn't buy her reasoning, and in the upcoming episode will continue to batter Abby's dreams of spending good days with Stitch.

Abby sacrificing her mother's feelings for Stitch has already been too much for her to handle, and Max's entry is another bigger platter laid on her shoulder. Will she end up leaving Stitch or will she be able to gain Max's trust?

To find out how Max, Stitch, and Abby will adjust to the new setup, watch "The Young and the Restless," airing weekdays on CBS.
