'The Young and the Restless': Kevin is Determined to Bring Scotty Back to Lauren; Will Scotty Agree to the Plan?
Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) is determined to bring Lauren Fenmore Baldwin's (Tracey E. Bregman) son, Scotty Grainger (Daniel Hall), back home to Genoa City. However, it is uncertain if Scotty will agree to it.
Lauren has been in despair in previous episodes as her award-winning journalist son was held hostage by terrorists in the Middle East. Being in the most dangerous places covering news stories is where Scotty's heart is. However, it has also placed him in very unfortunate situations.
Earlier in the show, terrorists called Lauren and demanded that a $10 million ransom be paid. This is now being delivered by her dear friend Kevin. Apart from getting Scotty out of the hands of terrorists, Kevin is determined to end Lauren's suffering by bringing her son home where he can be with his mother.
Scotty's bravery and determination despite being in one of the most tense situations in the world is what defines him and his passion for journalism. He left Genoa for the Middle East by choice. And even if his being held a hostage can be called a near-death experience, spoilers have it that this does not immediately mean Scotty is ready to head back home.
On the other hand, even if Scotty knows where he wants to be, Kevin also knows he wants to see Lauren happy and that means bringing Scotty home. It will be interesting to watch how the struggle between Scotty and Kevin will play out and whose intention will dominate.
Viewers have to watch out for how Kevin plans to keep an eye on Scotty and how he makes sure Lauren's son will make his way back via plane to Genoa because with just one lapse, Scotty might run away and insist on staying in the Middle East.
Earlier in "The Young and the Restless," Kevin developed special feelings for Lauren. However, it turned out that Lauren was just playing nice in the hopes that he would confess to a crime he committed. After a suicide attempt and learning that Lauren is happily dating someone else, Kevin agreed to just be a good friend to the woman.
"The Young and the Restless" airs every Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
