'This Is Us' Season 1 Episode 17 Spoilers: The Pearsons Celebrate William's Life in 'What Now?'
There are only two episodes left in the freshman season of the hit family drama series "This Is Us," and actor Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the Pearson patriarch Jack, has already warned fans that the finale will be a sad and stressful ride.
In the upcoming penultimate episode titled "What Now?," Rebecca (Mandy Moore) will be leaving on tour with her band, raising tensions between her and her husband Jack. While at present, the entire Pearson family will be gathering at Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) place for a rather unusual party following his biological father William's (Ron Cephas Jones) death.
While everybody's celebrating William's life, just as he requested when he was still alive, Kate (Chrissy Metz) will find herself struggling to open up about her own father's death to Toby (Chris Sullivan). Will Kate finally be able to find the courage to talk about something she has always found difficult to even think about? Will her words finally reveal the long-standing mysteries surrounding Jack's death?
On the other hand, her twin Kevin (Justin Hartley) will grow closer to ex-wife Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge) on the premiere night of his play, which seems to go just fine as shown in the official trailer for the next episode.
"This Is Us" season 1 episode 17 airs on Tuesday, March 7, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
Meanwhile, Ventimiglia has reportedly warned fans to prepare themselves for a "pretty stressful and a little sad" finale, which will be airing in two weeks. While he could still not reveal any details about his character's death, he went on to assure fans that, "Jack will always be around."
Titled "Moonshadow," the finale episode of "This Is Us" season 1 will see Jack traveling all the way to Cleveland to make things right with his wife, while the adult Big Three will each make a big decision regarding their futures.
