'This Is Us' Season 2 Spoilers News: Hints About Jack's Death Revealed

The long wait for the details about Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) death is finally over after NBC finally aired the premiere episode of "This Is Us" season 2.

Jack's cause of death has been one of the biggest secrets of the show since its first season, which is why fans are hoping to get the answers to the hanging question once the critically acclaimed drama returns on TV. By the end of the premiere episode, the mystery about the Pearson patriarch's death has been uncovered.

One of the scenes towards the end of the premiere episode titled "A Father's Advice" showed the 15-year-old Kate (Hannah Zeile) grieving while holding a dog beside her adopted brother Randall (Niles Fitch) and Miguel (Jon Huertas). Kate was heard saying that they need to find her twin brother Kevin (Logan Shroyer) to tell him about the bad news.

Then another scene showed the Pearson matriarch Rebecca (Mandy Moore) letting out a horrible scream as she parked her car in front of their family home's mailbox after she discovered that the house was enveloped by fire.

While the episode did not exactly mention that Jack was inside the house when the fire broke out, speculations claimed that he could have died during the fire.

However, Moore revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly during the "This Is Us" season 2 viewing party that the fire scene could just be a small part of the plot. "We don't know the full story," Moore stated. "We'll just say that. That's just a piece of the puzzle."

On the other hand, series creator Dan Fogelman revealed that the mystery of Jack's death will slowly reveal itself as the show goes on. "A lot of the little things are going to come into play over the course of this season. All the answers about how Jack died, it's all going to happen this season," the series creator also said.

More information about Jack's death is expected to unravel in the next episode of "This Is Us" season 2 titled "A Manny-Splendored Thing" that will air on NBC on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. EDT.
