'Thor: Ragnarok' Plot News: Movie to Address Fate of Missing Asgardians, Reason Behind Thor and Jane's Split
"Thor: Ragnarok" is opening in theaters in a couple of months, and reports suggest that it will change the God of Thunder and the Asgardians for good. After the latest installment in the franchise, one of the many things that fans would like the next movie to address is that of the fate of Lady Sif and the Warriors Three.
Since the first "Thor" movie, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three seem to have been taken for granted, so many wonder how they will actually fare in "Thor: Ragnarok." These characters have been noticeably absent from the trailers and teasers so far released for the film, and fans are left to wonder if the writers have already written these missing Asgardians out of the narrative altogether, especially after the previous reveal that many would die in "Thor: Ragnarok."
Previously, the writer of the movie hinted at several deaths, especially now that the new villain Hela is potent enough to defeat even the best warriors of Odin. Although it is possible for Lady Sif and the Warriors Three to be completely out of "Thor: Ragnarok," producer Brad Winderbaum suggested recently that fans would still catch a glimpse of them in the upcoming movie. When asked if they would be missing from the whole film and if people would learn what happened to the characters, Winderbaum said: "Um... That's not necessarily the case. And yes."
The producer hinted that despite their presumed absence in the trailers, the fate of Lady Sif and the Warriors Three would still be conveyed to the viewers in "Thor: Ragnarok." In the upcoming movie, Thor will organize a new team for this adventure, but based on Winderbaum's statement, it looks like he will not be ready to forget his former comrades just yet.
Meanwhile, another thing that "Thor: Ragnarok" will likely address aside from the fate of the missing Asgardians is the reason behind Jane and Thor's breakup. Natalie Portman's Jane last appeared in the franchise four years ago in "Thor: The Dark World." According to reports, as the new movie addresses what happened between her and the Norse God, it will also open up a potential romance between Thor and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie.
"Thor: Ragnarok" opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 3.
