'Thor: Ragnarok' Plot News: Tom Hiddleston Reveals Loki Worries More About Hela Than Doctor Strange
Recently, actor Tom Hiddleston revealed that his character, Loki, in Marvel's "Thor" franchise would be more worried about Hela (Cate Blanchett) than Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
When asked by IGN about how Loki would handle Doctor Strange and Hela, Hiddleston said: "I think he probably dismisses Strange. Yes his sorcery is very impressive, but Loki has been doing that for centuries, so who cares? But Hela is a different beast, and full of surprises."
Hiddleston also added that he thinks Hela and Loki might have "gotten along" at some point had it that the circumstances did not change.
It can be recalled that when "Doctor Strange" premiered last year, fans were treated with a post-credit scene featuring a conversation between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Doctor Strange. In the said segment, Thor consults Doctor Strange on how he thinks he should handle his brother, Loki, and how he can find Odin (Anthony Hopkins).
The short but very exciting scene ended with Doctor Strange promising Thor that he and his sorcery powers would help him with his little brother problems and in finding his lost father.
On the other hand, IGN also talked to Hiddleston about a concept art that recently surfaced where Loki and Thor are working hand in hand against Hela. With that, the actor was asked how Loki is doing in terms of his relationship with Thor since "Thor: The Dark World" and how Hela might affect that.
Hiddleston first explained: "At the beginning of 'Ragnarok,' Thor has a lot of questions, and Loki, true to form, is not forthcoming with that many answers. But hammers are involved and the stakes are raised."
On the other hand, Hela, the goddess of death, is someone that Hiddleston described as a forceful character who "brings destruction in her wake," and that type of havoc is something that the brothers have never had to experience before. "So they fall back on their brotherhood, fractured though it is, to see what they can do to stop her," Hiddleston teased.
Aside from Hemsworth, Hiddleston, Hopkins, Cumberbatch and Blanchett, "Thor: Ragnarok" also stars Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Idris Elba as Heimdall.
"Thor: Ragnarok" will open in theaters on Nov. 3.
