'Thor: Ragnarok' Review: This Might Be The Best Marvel Film To Date
Considering that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has received quite a bit of negative attention in their past films because of some lacking elements, fans were not expecting much for "Thor: Ragnarok." However, the hype for the film slowly increased leading up to its release, and it seems that it might not be as much of a disappointment as some fans expected it to be.
Here is everything that the critics are saying about the newest installment in the Marvel universe.
According to The New York Times, "Thor: Ragnarok" took an unexpected path in its direction. Instead of attempting to catch the viewers attention with darker themes and a gloomier palette, the film takes on the scenarios and the situations in a much light-hearted atmosphere, which is appreciated and at the same time, memorable. The latter aspect is important, especially since the previous films starring Chris Hemsworth's Thor seemed all too forgettable.
Hemsworth's natural charm coupled with Cate Blanchett's role as the gothy sister, there is not a lot of ways where "Thor: Ragnarok" can go wrong.
Meanwhile, GQ gave "Thor: Ragnarok" a considerably high praise, as they have claimed that it is the best Marvel film to be released. Compared to the other titles, which seemed bland, "Thor: Ragnarok" is eye-catching and attention-grabbing in its frames as it mixes just the right color and glimmer to enamor the audience.
The comedy and general silliness of the film hit a perfect balance with the storyline and the characters, so much so that this might just be the film that fans will remember when someone talks about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though fans may have lamented the loss Thor's perfectly long hair, it seems that his haircut might not be such a big thing compared to the perfection of the punchlines and frames of the film. "Thor: Ragnarok" is now available for viewing in theatres.
