Tina Fey 'No Way': '30 Rock' Star Refuses to Host Oscars 2014

Actress and comedian Tina Fey has said "No way!" to hosting the next Oscars following the criticism that has been thrown Seth MacFarlane's way after he hosted the Academy Awards this year.

Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane was a divisive choice to host the awards show by the Academy, with many horrified by his crude jokes which went against the traditional more-toned down type of hosts chosen in the past.

However, if MacFarlane had his critics he also had many supporters, who enjoyed his more lively and youth-oriented style of hosting the event, and especially appreciated his comedic efforts.

So much has been made of MacFarlane's hosting that people are already buzzing about who will be the 2014 host for the Oscars next year.

On social media sites numerous hosts have been touted by fans, and among them Tina Fey has been mentioned as a perfect follow on to the Academy's choice in MacFarlane.

However, Fey has given a clear answer to the rumors and suggestions, saying "No way!"

Fey was promoted as a potential host for a future Academy Awards on Sunday night in an exchange on stage between MacFarlane and William Shatner.

The two joked that Fey and Amy Poehler would be the next hosts if MacFarlane crashed at this year's event.

The Huffington Post managed to get a comment from the "30 Rock" star, asking her whether she would be up for next year's Oscars. However, she gave her clear answer without even a second of hesitation.

She explained by joking that she wouldn't be able to bare the months of trying on dresses to choose which she would wear to the event, and that alone was enough reason to say no. But she also added that it is a tough event to host, and she would not want to take it on.
