'Titanfall 2' First Teaser Trailer Released
Multiplayer first-person shooter video game "Titanfall" is going to get its part two soon. And as a way to pump up the hype among fans, Polygon detailed that developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts released its first ever teaser trailer. The teaser, which is about 45 seconds long, opened with a narration on about being a "hero."
It then slowly moved through a murky jungle ending with a glimpse of a solitary drop pod. The door to the drop pod then opens as a leg of a Titan walked into view. And before it closes to its title cover, the towering mech then ominously shoves a giant futuristic blade into the ground. For those who are looking forward to see more of the game, Respawn Entertainment announced in the trailer that it will have a worldwide full reveal on June 12.
The Verge detailed that it will take place during E3 in Los Angeles. It's also mentioned that unlike the first "Titanfall" game which was a Microsoft exclusive, the sequel will be multi-platform. It will be made available for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
With regards to the game specifics, not much is known as it is kept under wraps until the big reveal. But PC Advisor UK noted that lead writer Jesse Stern divulge tidbits of information during an interview with Forbes. Stern said that the game will have a single-player campaign. They will also include delivering a "vision of grand global colonial warfare" which will retell the story of the American Revolution and the American Civil War in space.
"What inspires us is the junction of technological advancement with the inevitability of conflict and war and what the next war might look like. In Titanfall 2 there will be a lot of [scenes] where science meets magic, but keeping it grounded and dirty and human and real," stated Stern.
Just a few more days left until "Titanfall 2" is fully revealed. Fans can stay tuned for more updates.
