'Titanfall 2' Free DLC 'Colony Reborn' Arrives on March 30
Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts' first-person shooter video game "Titanfall 2" has been released for quite some time now and yet they are not showing any signs of slowing down. New downloadable content (DLC) is arriving before the month ends, and it is a familiar sight for fans of the franchise.
In the trailer teasing what fans will get, it is filled with a lot of things to be excited about. From free to purchasable content, from pilot-centric updates to titan overhauls, there is definitely a lot to look forward to.
With the flashy introduction, the contents are discussed in detail on the game's official website. The upcoming DLC is dubbed "Colony Reborn," for obvious reasons that a map from the original "Titanfall" returns and is free for all players.
Aside from the free same old brand-new map, all players will also get the weapon R-101, which is described to be "well regarded for its unique versatility" and is outfitted with ACOG scope. Perhaps the coolest free update is the new execution Curb Check, which grabs an airborne enemy and slams them to the ground, creating flair and a new level of coolness.
There are paid cosmetic content that will be available by March 30. Some of the most noticeable are the Prime Titans Northstar and Legion, in which players can choose between mobility or firepower, or perhaps both. More details on the paid content are in the official website.
To further celebrate the coming of new content, there will also be a double XP event from March 30 up until April 3. For those who haven't maxed out their levels yet, this will be a great time to grind.
Of course, the update also carries patches in order to fix bugs and balance the playing field for a better experience. More details will be revealed as the release date for the free DLC draws near.
