Tony Hamer, Pizza Robber, Paid With a Pie
A man in Tennessee was taken into police custody after he was suspected of helping a group of thugs rob a Domino's Pizza delivery man and instead of being paid, he was given the stolen pizza for his troubles.
Tony Hamer, 19, was apprehended by police after an anonymous tip led officers to his location. During questioning from officers with the Memphis Police Department, Hamer admitted that he was "present during the planning" of the July 10 robbery, which was carried out by two other accomplices, according to WMCT.
The victim, Domino's driver Jose Reyes, told police that he was delivering a pizza around 9 p.m. when he was stopped by two men, one of which told Reyes that he was going to shoot him if he did not give him the money and pizza. Reyes told police that he gave the robbers the $20 he had on him, his cell phone and the pizza.

Hamer told the authorities that he "participated as a look out and provided protection for the other male during the robbery," according to the police report.
The report further stated that, "Hamer received three slices of Pizza for his participation in this robbery."
Police have also linked Hamer to two other crimes after he admitted to the robberies during police questioning. Hamer told investigators that he robbed a second pizza delivery person and was able to get away with a $54 pizza order during that robbery and Hamer also took $35 from victim Erica Northcutt, but police could not say if pizza was involved that particular case.
Hamer, who was picked up by police on July 23 after receiving a tip, is being held in the Shelby County jail in lieu of $35,000 bond on two felony robbery counts. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 1.
