Top 5 Pokemon Go Maps: The List of Most Reliable Maps in Hunting Rare Pokemons

A multitude of Pokemon Go maps are constantly being developed, uploaded and added to the internet to aid players in their quest for rare or even ultra rare creatures, but the fact is only a handful have good qualities to make them qualify for the word "useful". Worse is the difficulty some of these map sites are experiencing due to heavy influx of players racing against time to complete their collection and fill up that Pokedex. So here are five of the best maps available so far.

Pokecrew is still the best out there, for a simple reason that once the site is opened, it will immidiately show the player's location and point him to the nearest Pokemon in the area. This makes Pokecrew the best option for beginners and low level players to catch up with the bustling crowd of trainers. The biggest draw for the map is the availability of rating system that will check for reliability of reported sightings or capture of Pokemons listed. The map is also well-organized, clean and sharp to pass as "user friendly".

Pokemapper will blow the competition away if efficiency and sheer number of reports are going to be the basis. The map is still growing very strong even for users outside the US, specifically in Europe. The only drawback for Pokemapper is the absence of a feature to organize common to rare Pokemons thereby limiting the "tactical planning" a player can make.

Pokego is another map that players will instantly love. The best feature for the map is the ability to vote for a specific sighting and the most number of negative votes warrants for speedy removal from the map, saving a lot of wasted effort that players may encounter. Reporting system for the map is also very efficient since administrators constantly double check for potential false reports. Another best thing for Pokego is the clustering of sightings per locality and will only show on the map once zoomed in, making the map light to handle even for devices that has low specs.

Operating Sytems (OS) Based Maps

PokeFinder is a relatively new map intended only for iOS users. Although very promising because of its clean look and usability, there are reports of fake sightings being posted in this map. It is not yet time to quell PokeFinder since even maps topping this list experienced the same problem during their respective infancy stage.

PokeTrack is similar to PokeFinder although this one is developed for Android devices only. The map boasts the feature of searchability for specific Pokemon types, saving effort to scan the map manually instead. The user can also counter verify any claims of sightings, making this map highly reliable.
