'Top Chef' Season 13 News: Eliminated Contestant Predicts Who Will Win this Season

Giselle Wellman, the fifth chef to pack her knives from "Top Chef" season 13, revealed who she thinks should win this season. 

The 31-year-old chef who originally came from San Diego, California had an emotional moment during her elimination. She Knows was able to chat with Wellman, and according to the website, Giselle named Kwame Onwuachi as her "Top Chef" season 13 winner. Wellman did not elaborate why she picked Kwame, but fans can remember him as the winner on the Surf and Turf challenge in episode 3 (Rock Crab Salad, Turmeric, Asparagus & Radish), and episode 5's Wedding Reception challenge (Pickled Shrimp with Cucumber Onion Salad, Citrus Vinaigrette & Cashews).

Giselle also revealed during the interview that her elimination was not a surprise. She said that she had given up mentally, since her mind was occupied by her aunt who passed away during the elimination challenge. "She worked at a school very similar to the one we cooked at for this challenge," she explained. "This was a very hard challenge for me mentally and a huge roller coaster of emotions that made it very hard to be fierce in the competition," Giselle added.

Besides her mental breakdown on the last challenge she participated in, she also expressed her other biggest challenges while on the show. "Being away from my family in [a] time of grief," she said. Giselle added that it was very difficult to be on the show and have no communication with her family, which did not help her emotional state during the competition.

Meanwhile, two more chefs went home in the last episode of "Top Chef," and they were Angelina and Wesley. According to Nola.com, Angelina forgot to put food on her plate, which caused her elimination in the Sudden Death Cook-Off Challenge, while Wesley's dish at the Elimination Challenge was just undercooked. Only 10 contestants remain in the running to become season 13's "Top Chef."
