Top free productivity and organization back-to-school apps
As the school season has started its full-swing activities, students are ditching surf boards and picking up textbooks and pens for classes. As the tech-generation already knows, numerous educational apps are available for students to download now.
Apple's App Store has a category purposefully created for education. There's iTunes U, which gives teachers ease of access in collecting and grading assignments and many more.
Google Play Store has also released a new set of education apps, all free, to aid students and teachers alike as the school community eases back into the school season after months of beach bum days.
One of the apps that experts recommend for students is myHomework Student Planner for smartphones and tablets. It rids paper planners that can either get lost or be left unused. Homework, tests, projects, lessons, notes, class schedules, and many more can be entered into the app. Notifications will also be received when an assignment is due and what's best is, the app works offline.
CourseSmart, an e-textbook app, allows students to access more than 7,000 textbooks right from smartphones. Tech Times suggests that students use a tablet such as the Kindle Fire, iPad, or Windows tab to relieve from eye strains due to reading.
To lessen paperwork, get the EasyBib app for iOS and Android. The app accurately writes citations after it is launched, and a picture is taken of the bar code from the book from which the source material was retrieved.
Digital Trends recommends StudyBlue, an app that creates a plethora of mobile flashcards, study guides, and quizzes. The material can also be shared, and students or teachers may choose from a wide variety of student-authored flashcards and flashcard decks.
As education is pretty expensive anywhere, Khan Academy allows students to access more than 4,000 videos, all downloadable. The app opens gates for K012 math, earth science, art history, and computer science learning.
