Griezmann is three goals ahead of the second-highest scorers. Because of this, Griezmann was awarded the UEFA Euro 2016 Adidas Golden Boot.

When asked about the award, Griezmann said, "Maybe later I can feel proud, but for now it's all about the group. I'm very disappointed for my teammates. I really wanted to give them this trophy but couldn't score." Still, Griezmann adds that they "gave it [their] all and [they] have no regrets."

2. Cristiano Ronaldo - 3 goals

Ronaldo played in seven matches and 625 minutes and scored three goals. He failed to make a goal in the finals due to a knee injury in the 25th minute, but he was paramount to team Portugal's success in the semifinals, scoring one goal and assisting for another to beat Wales 2-0.

Ronaldo won the Silver Boot award for listing second in top UEFA Euro Tournament top scorers.

3. Olivier Giroud - 3 goals

Giroud played in six matches, 456 matches and made three goals. He played for the French national team, failing to score a goal in the finals match against Portugal.

Team captain and French team goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is all praises for Giroud. "He works so hard for the team, puts a lot of pressure on the opposite defense in the air, and other players can benefit from his hard work."

Giroud got the Bronze Boot award for listing third in the top UEFA Euro Tournament top scorers.

4. Other Players Who Scored 3 goals

The following players also scored three goals during the tournament: Dimitri Payet of France, Gareth Bale of Wales, Nani of Portugal and Alvaro Morata of Spain.

Portugal's Victory

Cristiano Ronaldo saw only 25 minutes of play during the UEFA Euro 2016 Finals match against France. He injured his left knee at the 25th minute, disappointed and in tears as teammates tried to console him. Losing their top player is a big blow for Portugal, but the squad fought on and eventually won with a score of 1-0.

It took a few more minutes of extra time for Eder to wing a long-ranged shot out of nowhere, causing celebratory mayhem among Portugal's fans. French fans were stunned silent in disappointment.

Eder Portugal's Hero

The top player of the finals game belongs to Portuguese footballer Eder, who stunned France with a goal in the 109th minute. Eder is an unlikely hero. He replaced Renato Sanches in the second half of the finals game and was marked closely by French Laurent Koscielny, limiting his options. But he continued looking for his options in the infield, and from 25 yards away, he whacked a shot to the right of French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who failed to block the ball in time.
