'Total War: Warhammer 2' Review: On the Design and the Faulty Diplomatic System

Developed by Creative Assembly, "Total War: Warhammer 2" has amassed quite an attention from the gaming community. First released back in September, the popular game title has proven to be better in almost all aspects than the first installment. This turn-based strategy and real-time tactics video game has also received a few words from the critics. Here is everything they have had to say about "Total War: Warhammer 2."

According to a review by IGN, "Total War: Warhammer 2" is a representation of how the game's developers took what they learned from the first installment and applied the lessons to make an extremely notable sequel. Compared to the design and presentation of first "Total War," the sequel showcases the ability of the game's designers to make the visuals more consistent from faction to faction. Furthermore, the story and objectives of "Total War: Warhammer 2" stands at least a head above its predecessor. Each of the four factions draws the fans in and it has successfully become a game title that is hard to put down once gamers enter the world from Creative Assembly.

Meanwhile, PC Gamer pointed out some of the flaws of the much-loved sequel. For one, the politics and diplomatic systems have yet to improve as the people of the town would deem players as traitors if they had the slightest inclination to dislike them. Furthermore, the sheer size of the universe of "Total War: Warhammer 2" has increased so notably that gaps have become increasingly noticeable. Although this can be easily reparable with a number of downloadable contents (DLCs), the omissions are enough to make some fans frustrated.
