Tottenham Hotspurs play host to Tromso in the next round of matches of UEFA's Europa League, with the north London squad looking for a full three points from a struggling Norwegian side.
Spurs boss Andre Villa-Boas will have to overcome Winger Aaron Lennon's absence after missing training on Wednesday and is a doubt. The England international has not played since the opening day of the season due to a foot injury.
Nacer Chadli, who missed Saturday's win over Norwich with an adductor problem, is a doubt as is fellow midfielder Etienne Capoue, who is out for two weeks with an ankle injury.
Striker Emmanuel Adebayor did not join in with the first-team squad as he has been instructed to train with the development squad by manager Andre Villas-Boas.
But the scheduling of the Premiere League and Europa League have upset Villa-Boas, as he is worried that playing too many games so closer together poses a risk to his players. After the game Sunday Spurs play again on Tuesday.
"After this (Europa League) game, we have not only the Sunday game but the Tuesday game, which I found as an incredible surprise. How can a game be scheduled after two days, immediately putting the players' careers at risk with injuries," Villas-Boas told reporters during a press conference.
"The problem is that it puts the players in a very difficult situation. It's also nothing new in English football. I had the same thing once with Wolverhampton and Chelsea, when I was at Chelsea, and I spoke the same way. The second day of recovery is the most dangerous day for a player to pick up an injury," he added.
Tromso are lucky to be in the group stage and are in the tournament because Besiktas – the Turkish club who beat them in qualifying – was disqualified for their part in a match-fixing scandal.
Coach Agnar Christensen has several injury problems to deal with. Right-back Hans Norybe suffered a broken nose and bruised eye socket during the 1-0 win against Rosenborg over the weekend.
That win placed them outside the relegation zone of a Norwegian top-flight in a season with just seven regular-season matches left.
Kick off for the match is at 3:05 p.m. and can be watched online here.
