'Toy Story 4' plot news: Love story between Bo Peep and Woody

After the announcement of "Toy Story 4" during this year's D23 Expo, more details about the movie have been revealed by the creators.

It was previously reported that Lee Unrick, director of Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, explained how they have no plans for a fourth installment of the franchise. He said, "Well, we don't have any plans for Toy Story 4. I'm flattered that people ask about it — it reminds me how much people love the characters — but it was really important to me with this film that we not just create another sequel, that it not just be another appendage coming off of the other two."

Despite his comment, it was confirmed by John Lasseter, leader of Pixar, that the upcoming Toy Story 4 will reveal a story line that has not yet been seen in the Toy Story franchise. Lasseter explained that the film will feature a love story between Bo Peep and Woody. The story is expected to put their relationship in a new level.

Lasseter explained, "It's something we've never done with Toy Story before. At Pixar and at Disney we only do a sequel if we have come up with something that's as good or better than the original. That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money. It's about great stories, that's what we do."

Alternatively, there were also speculations that the story will feature another story line. It was stated that the upcoming film will explore the identity of Andy's mom and how she relates with Jessie. This theory has been popular among Toy Story fans, believing that Andy's mom is in fact the Emily mentioned in Jessie's story.
In addition, it was also rumored that the situation between Andy's parents will be revealed in Toy Story 4.

Toy Story 4 is expected to play in theaters by 2017.
