'Tracey Ullman's Show' Season 2 News: HBO Unveils Latest Trailer for Upcoming Comedy Series

Tracey Ullman is back in action in the latest trailer for "Tracey Ullman's Show" season 2.

The Emmy-winning show is set to take on new characters in the sketch comedy this fall. In the new season 2 trailer, Ullman is not afraid to cross anyone, even Dame Judi Dench. The clip also features snippets of Ullman as German Chancellor Angela Merkel while riding a tourist bus.

Additionally, fans get a glimpse of the long-suffering Kay and her overbearing mother. New sketches will offer a "rap battle for the soul of an inner-city estate," along with a closer look at the personal lives of Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall.

Ullman is best known for her spot-on impersonations of Maggie Smith, Dench, Merkel and a lot more. Speaking with NPR's Robert Siegel in October, the actress admitted that she did not always perform impersonations when she was just starting in the industry.

"I always thought that was sort of 'Saturday Night Live's' area," she explained. "But I decided to throw a few into the mix a few years ago to see if I could do it, because I like being real people and ... observing society around me ... And then it, of course, it attracts attention."

The release of the new trailer comes just days after BBC ordered three additional episodes of Ullman's satirical series, "Tracey Breaks the News." "With so many powerful women in world politics at the moment, it's lucky we've got a brilliantly powerful woman of our own to poke fun at them," Chris Sussman, head of comedy for BBC Studios said about the episode order.

The 58-year-old star returned to BBC One in 2016 with the sketch comedy "Tracey Ullman's Show," which has earned a nomination for outstanding variety sketch series at this year's Emmys. She later developed the one-off special "Tracey Breaks the News," which officially debuted early 2017.

The second season of "Tracey Ullman's Show" premieres Friday, Oct. 20, at 11 p.m. EDT on HBO.
