'Transformers 5' News, Spoilers, Updates: Mark Wahlberg Confirmed to Return to 'Transformers 5'
Mark Wahlberg confirmed that he will be back in the next "Transformers" movie; however, no other actors have confirmed their return to the franchise.
Cinema POP was able to speak to the 44-year-old actor during the premiere of his latest movie, "Daddy's Home," and he was asked how it is working in a comedy film in the clip. Wahlberg said that he had always wanted to do comedy; however, he said that he wanted to find the right comedy "at the right time." Wahlberg added that just in case doing comedy didn't work out, especially coming from a "dramatic background," it could totally jeopardize his whole career.
The actor also was asked on what tip he can give to upcoming young actors in Hollywood, and he said that the best advice is to not let stardom affect them. He also added that it's best to focus on work and behave themselves. It appears that the interviewer can't help himself from asking the Hollywood actor on whether he'll be reprising his role as Cade Yeager on "Transformers 5," at the end of the clip, and Wahlberg did not sugarcoat his answer by simply saying, "Yes," according to Realty Today. Fans are excited to see the scientist back working with Optimus Prime and the other "Transformers" in a couple more years.
While Wahlberg is confirmed to return, the franchise's director, Michael Bay, has not yet confirmed whether he'll be helming the next "Transformers" film. According to Cinema Blend, Bay initially said no to the film, but later on confirmed that he's been speaking and discussing pitches with Steven Spielberg. The website said that Wahlberg's confirmation might push Bay to say yes to the upcoming "Transformers" film.
The fifth "Transformers" movie will not be returning to cinemas up until 2017.
