'Transformers: The Last Knight': iOS App Delves Into the Saga's Lore

The whole series of Transformers brought to the big screen is definitely a treat for the eyes, but sometimes what it lacks is the depth and focus on what the story is. To increase interest and bring moviegoers up to speed before the upcoming "Transformers: The Last Knight" arrives, an iOS app is updated to talk more about the saga's lore.

Its version 5.3.0 creates a dedicated section tackling the Transformers' history and plot since it started. This is a feature added on top of the minigames and trivia questions in previous versions. The app is absolutely free, so Apple users don't have to worry about shelling out anything in order to get it.

With this update, it looks like the franchise is going deep into the story, contrary to what it has done in the previous installments. All the rest were mostly eye candy, making people marvel at the impressive computer-generated imagery. Perhaps the fifth film will be heavy on the plot, and this will be a good way for the movie to make sense, at the same time increase hype.

That's not the only effort the movie is putting in to get more attention. The latest teaser posted by its newest star, Isabela Moner, on her Facebook account confirms that not only will it be telling the story of the Transformers, but will somehow be about a gutsy little girl who wishes to take on anything. The caption saying there is something familiar with the trailer and "Beauty and the Beast" is indicating it will also be brimming with feminism.

The latest installment of the franchise promises to be an epic battle for survival. With only Bumblebee to stand with the humans and Optimus Prime seemingly siding with the enemies, it is going to be a truly grueling battle.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" will be rolling out in theaters on June 23, 2017.
