Tupac Movie: Biopic to Feature Different Angle on His Relationship With Notorious BIG

The biopic based on the life of rapper Tupac Shakur will hit theaters in 2015 and one of the film's producers, L.T. Hutton, promises that it will show a more authentic version of his relationship with the Notorious BIG.

In a recent interview with AllHipHop.com, Hutton discussed his own personal relationship with Shakur and how that will affect the process of creating this movie's storyline.

"I actually spent a lot of time with Pac once he came to Death Row," said Hutton. "I followed his career and life even before he came to Death Row."

He also discussed the differences between this film and Notorious' coverage of the relationship with the Notorious BIG and Shakur.

"People know bits and pieces. I was fortunate enough to be right in the middle of it, so I know exactly what happened," he said regarding the two rappers relationship and fallout. "It's going to be covered like you haven't seen it before."

"We're going to dispel some of the myths about it. I don't want to give it away, but it's more realistic than Notorious," he said.

The Tupac biopic will be directed by John Singleton, who actually worked with the slain rapper before his passing in his film Poetic Justice. Singleton also intended for Shakur to play the Jody character in his 2001 film Baby Boy, but ended up using Tyrese Gibson instead due to the rapper's death in 1996.

Shakur's music has inspired millions and this film is one of a few biopics to be released that document the lives of famous figures in hip-hop. Another film will be released soon based on the rap group NWA that will be directed by F. Gary Gray.
