A wild turkey caught on video chasing a reporter has become an Internet sensation.
The wild turkey has long since been part of the American holiday tradition. People were once inspired to hunt them in the open fields and forests, matching wits and staying down wind. People now compete in determining what store offers the best price for the best brand of the favorite bird.
However, some still desire the interaction with wild beasts and for that reason they still make headlines.

Duffy Kelly is a news producer who works for channel 10 News in Sacramento. She heard of locals in Sacramento County who have been encountering the wild game for years. She decided she also wanted to have an encounter just the same.
The courageous act of filming while under duress in this case is what makes the video interesting. Kelly is chased down a residential street until a postal worker uses his van to intervene.
Duffy heard of reports that of a couple of turkeys in an Arden neighborhood were chasing down joggers. It is reported that impeding upon the territory or catching the animal off guard can spur an incident, while other birds just have their feathers rustled.
The news station received many emails regarding the incident, including one from a volunteer with Sacramento's Wildlife Care Association. The writer said it looked like the turkey may be use to handouts from humans and was just looking for food according to News 10.
Since the posting of the video on YouTube on Oct. 7, the video has received over 450,000 hits and has gone viral.
The reporter has garnered so much notoriety in the animal filming world that she was on Good Morning America shortly after the video was posted to explain her harrowing tale.
Duffy is now working with the California Department of Fish and Game to find a way to care for this particular turkey so everyone in the area is safe.
