"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" has started selling early as UAE retailers made the latest Projekt Red title available to players a week before the game's official release.

Players who were able to get hold of the early copies began to stream the open world role playing game over the weekend, leading the Polish developer to spend the last 48 hours battling spoilers, taking down YouTube videos, and locking threads devoted to leaks on the game's official forums.

Projekt Red has also issued an appeal to gamers possessing initial copies not to post spoilers or leak any advanced information, reminding them not to breach DMCA copyright laws by prematurely leaking gameplay footage before the game's official broadcast scheduled for next Tuesday.

While "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is primarily an offline game, Projek Red informed players the early release versions aren't eligible for the Day One Patch which the developer will be releasing with the upcoming game to ensure first-time player experience with the new title is as smooth as possible.

The steady leak of gameplay videos show an Xbox One version running at 720p, while the actual "Wild Hunt" will run at 900p during its official release.

The latest title is set in an open world environment reported to be 30 times larger compared to the previous installments in the series, requiring players to explore the setting via sailboat in some locations, and on horseback in others.

"The Witcher 3" will conclude the saga of main protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, who is on a new mission in a world invaded by the Wild Hunt.
