Ubisoft's 'The Division' to Be Released March 2016, Early Beta for Xbox One in December
One piece of good news that Ubisoft shared during Microsoft's E3 2015 press conference is the concrete release date of "Tom Clancy's The Division," an upcoming open world third-person shooter and role-playing video game with survival elements. The game, which had a new developer brought in – Ubisoft Annecy – will finally see the light of day on March 8, 2016. It will be released for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and PC.
Xbox One owners, however, have another reason to rejoice. Ubisoft, in an exclusive deal with Microsoft, will release a beta version earlier in December and will also provide free copies of "Rainbow Six Vegas 1" and "Rainbow Six Vegas 2" for every purchase of "The Division" game.
It's unknown if the beta release will be open to all Xbox One owners, or will be by invitation or sign up only. However, the report mentioned that it will certainly help boost sales of the console before the holiday season given the game's increasing fan base.

"The Division" was originally announced and previewed two years ago, also at the E3. Ubisoft was intending to release it in 2014, but the game was delayed because the developers did not want to "compromise the game's quality." Recently, Ubisoft added a third developer Ubisoft Annecy, which may be the reason why the game is finally being released.
The game is set in New York, three weeks after a virus was launched and caused chaos in the city. The U.S. President is forced to activate "The Division" which is a "highly classified unit of independent tactical secret agents." These agents need to do whatever it takes to make sure that the city does not fall, while they try to piece it back together. They encounter different groups and clans within the city, who will also do anything to survive.
