Highly touted as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport of mixed martial arts, Johnson has only lost once in his 12 fights in the UFC – a unanimous decision to Dominick Cruz.

Since winning the title against Joseph Benavidez in UFC 152, Mighty Mouse has defended his championship six times, holding notable wins over Ali Bagautinov, Kyoji Horiguchi and John Moraga.

He has also beaten Dodson in his first defense of the title, outlasting his rival en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Johnson's latest win came against Horiguchi, where he was dominating the fight until he eventually submitted the Japanese star with an armbar with only one second remaining in the fifth and final round – the latest finish in UFC's history.

Almost cleaning out the division, Johnson will reignite his rivalry against the mercurial Dodson.

With a 17-6 record, Dodson is considered as one of the most threatening challengers to take Johnson's title.

He is currently on a three-match win streak, beating the likes of Darrell Montague, Moraga and Zach Makovsky to justify his credibility for a title shot.

Considered as one of the strongest strikers in the division, Dodson is also known as the fighter who has pushed the champion to the limit during their earlier championship battle, going toe-to-toe against Johnson but coming up short in the judges' scorecards.

Now he will have his chance at redemption and to walk away with the title.

The co-main event pits Anthony "Rumble" Johnson going up against Jimi "Poster Boy" Manua in a light-heavyweight match.

Both are hoping to lock a title shot against current champion Daniel Cormier and both Manua and Rumble are very capable of winning via knockout.

Manua sports a 15-1 record, with 13 wins coming off knockouts or TKOs.

He has won four of his five fights in the UFC, only losing to perennial contender Alexander Gustafsson. He rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Jan Blachowicz.

A win over Rumble may solidify his chances to chase for the title, and at 35 years old, he knows he has a small window left.

As for Johnson, he lost to Cormier in their bout for the light-heavyweight championship which was vacated by Jon Jones due to issues outside the Octagon.

He holds notable wins over Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and a dominating performance over Manua may lift him back to the elite of the division.

Other notable fights in the card is a light heavyweight tilt with Jan Blachowicz going up against Corey Anderson, while the women's strawweight division will see 5-2 Alex "Astro Girl" Chambers facing 5-1 Paige "12 Gauge" VanZant.
