'UFC 2' Release Date & Update: Teaser Trailer Released, Game Details Revealed

Fans of the mixed martial arts fighting video game "UFC" are celebrating after EA Sports officially announced details of their latest game in the franchise. According to MMA Junkie, the publisher posted on Monday on Twitter a teaser for the EA Sports "UFC 2."

The post read, "The wait is finally over." It came along with an image of the EA Sports "UFC" logo inside an octagon bearing the number 2. It also said to stay tuned for more and true enough, they released details about the upcoming game the next day.

As reported by IGN, the first teaser trailer has already been released, showing off some of the new game modes that players can go through once it hits store shelves. And speaking of its arrival, the video revealed that the game is said to come around spring 2016.

It also mentioned that "UFC 2" will bring a cloud of new features to enhance and improve on the UFC formula. Some of those features include exceptional animations for specific fighters, new online and offline "experiences," all new physics-driven reactions that are more realistic and technique challenges. It also revealed that the Ultimate Team mode will be included in the 2016 edition. It will showcase the popular trading card-collecting feature in other EA Sports titles.

The game will also introduce a new knockout physics system, which is a feature that appears in seemingly every new combat sports video game. Safe sparring will be incorporated to enhance skill as well as new dimensions to the player's stand up, ground game and others. "UFC 2" promises to bring the "deepest, most powerful fighter creation tools yet."

The upcoming sequel is going to be an improved version of the first one which was released last year and commended by players because of their many additions of content. EA Sports "UFC 2" will be made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
