UFC News: Ronda Rousey Soundly Beats Brazilian Rival Bethe Correia, Who's Next?
Ronda Rousey is currently dominating the women's bantamweight division of the UFC.
The sport as a whole is still dominated by men but it it's Rousey that is esteemed as the best in the sport. She is coming off a devastating 34-second knockout of Brazilian rival Bethe Correia.
Undefeated in her career, Rousey seemed like she faced a tough situation as Correia was definitely not intimidated by her. Rousey remained calm and collected, reserving all of her pent-up tension inside the cage where she unleashed a barrage of strikes that ultimately leveled her opponent.
Speaking to Megan Olivi after the fight, Rousey revealed that she still wants to do better than she did against Correia.
"I kind of want to see the video already because I know I made a couple mistakes," the fighter admitted.
Her mother AnnMaria DeMars agreed, saying that that while the victory was impressive, her daughter could have done it in less time.
"Well, I think she did really well but it wasn't perfect because she could've beat her quicker, and she knew she could've beat her quicker," DeMars explained.
This frame of mind could help Ronda in her next fight, whether it be a third meeting against long-time rival Meisha Tate, or a superfight against Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino.
